Design of rural residential neighborhood with 7 different house types
Design of rural residential neighborhood with two different growing house types.
Renovating an old structure that included 4 small residential apartments into a two family structure that includes 2 residential units. Each unit will include a main living area surrounded by bedrooms and bathrooms. The elevated roof space will be used to bring in natural light and as a gallery floor. The large rear balcony oversees the view of Emek Yizra'el.
The renovation was done by demolishing only what was imperatively needed based on the outlook and desire to minimize the quantity of waste and of course lower the building costs for the young residents.
The design is based on creating an unmediated connection between interior and exterior by introducing a pool view to the public space of the house hence significantly increasing the sense of space. The house is designed with a modest line of clean and smooth open spaces, with an emphasis on natural light, while obscuring and isolating private spaces.
